The followingschematic diagramis common on manyGeneral Motor’sdoor locking system for cars, it is a 3-wire positive trigger when you look at the door lock/unlock switch in the driver’s door.

3 WIRE POSITIVE TRIGGER CAR DOOR LOCKING CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

It would be 3 wires coming out ofthe Car Driver’s door locking systems, there are a lock wire, an unlock wire and a constant 12 Volt Positive Wire. The lock and unlock command will be a positive ( ) 12V positive pulse only while actually locking and unlocking the doors, otherwise they will “float”.
