This article introduces the Fluke's New Flexible Current Probe (74HC595). The principle is very simple, very practical. The circuit components can help you understand better grasp this principle. For example, in this circuit, you can go to find and buy these components: 74HC595.iFlex Current Meter

Have you ever needed an AC current measurement in a tight place where your current probe would not fit? Fluke has just introduced the iFlex, flexible current probe. It is very flexible and can be used to make measurements in tight places like equipment cabinets where your conventional current probe would not fit. It is more capable in the size of conductors it can measure as well. It can be used to measure a group of conductors with a circumference of 18 inches. It can be used to measure an AC current up to 2500 A. There are models available with a detachable display so you can place the current clamp in a cabinet and then monitor the current at a remote location. The range of the detachable display is up to 30 feet.
